Vicenza (Italy), 11 July 2024 – Losing oneself among the watches, seeing mechanisms and complications up close, personally touching the most sophisticated timepieces, meeting experts in the field and being totally immersed in the world of contemporary watchmaking: all this is possible at VO’Clock Privé, the free event, open to the public, to be staged from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September (10 am – 6.30 pm) in the foyer on the first floor of Vicenza Expo Centre with the magazine ICON as a media partner. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group in conjunction with Vicenzaoro September (6th – 10th September), the event offers collectors and enthusiasts an immersive experience under the banner of watchmaking culture, amid high-end timepieces, emerging brands and independent creators, as well as training sessions, presentations and practical demonstrations with experts and master watchmakers.
THE DIFFERENT FACES OF WATCHMAKING
VO’Clock Privé is a unique format in Italy that brings together every type of contemporary watch to offer visitors a complete experience. Starting with the Manifatture area (Manufacture), where fine pieces from the most renowned brands such as Zenith, Speake Marin, Franck Muller, Frederique Constant and Wyler Vetta can be admired. These will be flanked by unique creations by the Maestri (Masters), independent watchmakers from the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) in Geneva, with names such as Vincent Calabrese, Seryn Watches, Lederer Timepieces, Meccaniche Orologi Milano, Matthias Naeschke, Khemea hcl Taine, Marc & Darnò and Miśnik. Completing the offer will be the Avanguardie (Avantgarde) area dedicated to emerging brands that are revolutionising the sector, such as Furlan Marri and Inceptum, both attending VO’Clock Privè for the first time. There will also be numerous new entries, including the participation of Leica, the renowned German manufacturer of photographic systems and optics, which will be introducing a new collection of watches aimed at the public of enthusiasts attending the event.
BETWEEN HIGHER EDUCATION AND INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES
In addition to the exhibition areas, VO’Clock Privé will also be offering a full programme of content to further visitors’ knowledge of the watch world. In the exclusive lounge in the Dialoghi area (Dialogues, Hall 7.1), attendees will be able to take part in a series of technical talks and conversations with experts with the support of the Watchouse forum, and the sector magazines and media partners L’Orologio, Watch Insanity
and Revolution Italia. A series of advanced training meetings, with participation subject to reservation, will be held by Ugo Pancani, lecturer at FHH – Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. And those who really want to “get inside a watch” will be able to closely observe movements and components with microscopes and high definition screens directly from the workbench in the Esperienze area (Experiences). This area, created with the support of Bergeon, global leader in instruments for watchmakers, will be staging demonstrations and presentations with master craftsmen and experts.
