The London-based supplier of ethical emeralds, which recently donated US $10,000 to Malala Fund, will also give percentage of profits to aid girls’ education in Pakistan.
LONDON-based ethical emerald supplier, Myne London, has announced that it will donate a percentage of the profits from its new ‘Star Power’ earrings to Malala Fund throughout 2024/25, as part of its ongoing commitment to girls’ education in Pakistan.
Since 2018, Myne London has provided a traceable route to market for high-quality emerald melee hailing from Swat Valley, Pakistan. It has focused extensively on promoting women’s empowerment through access to education, training and skilled employment, supported by the creation of Swat Valley emerald bespoke jewellery, industry-wide collaborations and its own charity, the Myne London Foundation.
In June, the Myne London Foundation announced it had become an official supporter of Malala Fund. As a first step, the Myne London Foundation donated US $10,000 to Malala Fund specifically to aid its projects in Pakistan.
Now, Myne London is pleased to present it’s beautiful ‘Star Power’ earrings, which mark the next chapter in its support of Malala Fund. Thanks to a commercial co-venture (CVV) with the organisation, Myne London will channel 10% of the profits from the sale of its Star Power earrings across the United States to Malala Fund until the end of 2025.
The Star Power studs have been specifically designed to spotlight traceable Swat Valley emeralds with a cross-cultural and meaningful motif. Designed in London, the pieces are handcrafted in Los Angeles, California, using 925 sterling silver or 14k yellow gold-plated sterling silver and set with emeralds fashioned by female lapidarists in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The Myne London Foundation, which receives 10% of all Myne London profits, was established in 2021 to offer a hand of support to those seeking access to education in Pakistan. Its inaugural event was hosted in London on March 19, 2022.
