Mantra Jewellery champions greener cities with new charity necklace

Mantra Jewellery has announced a new charity partnership as collaborations prove popular for the wellbeing brand.

The latest collaboration with wellbeing expert, Mel Wells, sold out at pre-launch, and now Mantra Jewellery is working with UK environmental charity, Trees for Cities, on a necklace in its ‘Mantra Changes Lives’ collection.

Mantra creates meaningful jewellery designed to uplift and inspire, drawing on the power of words combined with the beauty of jewellery, while ‘Mantra Changes Lives’ is the brand’s initiative to raise funds, show support, and build awareness for important causes. Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by creating greener cities. They get stuck in with dedicated volunteers to cultivate lasting change in neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or growing food with kids.

The new Mantra disc necklace features the word ‘Breathe’, above a small image of two trees. The piece represents the inspirational mantra, ‘Go outside. Breathe. Let nature restore you.’

It acts as an encouragement to spend more time outside, benefitting from the restorative power of nature. It also shines a light on the fact that trees clean our air and contribute to a healthy environment.

Founder of Mantra Jewellery, Jo Stroud, explains the thinking behind the new piece: “A mantra is a powerful statement, intended to make a positive impact on the way that you feel. This mantra acts as a reminder that we need to slow down, take some deep breaths, and appreciate the beauty around us. The natural world has such power to calm us, to inspire us, and to connect us to something bigger.”

The necklace is priced at £45 in Sterling Silver and £65 in 18ct Yellow and Rose Gold-plated, with 25% of the retail price going to Trees for Cities.

It is blank on the reverse to allow for personalisation, with a name, date or special word or phrase.

Corporate partnerships coordinator for Trees for Cities, Grace Hussey, shares: “We are delighted that Mantra Jewellery has chosen to support us with this necklace. It is a timely reminder of the importance of nature, and the real impact it has on our wellbeing. At Trees for Cities, we are working hard to create greener cities, so everyone can benefit from the power of nature. Wearing this necklace works as a reminder to yourself, as well as directly supporting our work, and our goal to plant one million trees by 2020.”

The necklace launches on September 1, the first day of meteorological autumn.
