Luk Fook Holdings (International) Ltd is expanding its reach in the Cambodian jewellery market with the opening of a flagship store in the capital city of Phnom Penh.
The store covers an area of over 5,600 square feet and is adjacent to a travel hotspot with high tourist traffic and great business potential, according to the company. Phnom Penh is a developing city and is touted as the country’s political, economic, cultural and tourism hub with considerable room for development, it added. Lukfook said the new store is expected to further strengthen its retail network in Southeast Asia.
Following the group’s entry in Malaysia with two shops opening in 2017, the expansion in Cambodia pushes the number of Lukfook shops globally to more than 1,610 at present.
“Adhering to the corporate vision of ‘Brand of Hong Kong, Sparkling the World’ and the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative, the group is optimistic about prospects in the Southeast Asian market. We will continue our efforts to provide unparalleled shopping experience for customers worldwide to ensure that Lukfook remains a premier jewellery brand for consumers everywhere,” said Wong Wai Sheung, chairman and chief executive of the group.
