LAINGS WELCOMES PATEK PHILIPPE TO WALES

Laings the jeweller is set to introduce its Welsh clientele to Patek Philippe next month as it launches its stunning new showroom in Cardiff.

With a shared passion for quality craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence, the family-run jeweller values its relationship with Patek Philippe, having worked together elsewhere in the UK for almost 20 years. Now, working hand-in-hand on the transformation of the Cardiff showroom, Laings will become the only authorised Patek Philippe agent in Wales. Creating an experiential environment suitable for one of luxury horology’s most prominent brands, Laings will welcome a selection of Patek Philippe’s signature ladies and gents’ timepieces into the new signature space within the St David’s Centre showroom when it is unveiled next month.

As the last independent, family-owned Genevan watchmaking company, Patek Philippe stands out with a rich range of watches for both ladies and gentlemen. Since the company was founded in 1839, Patek Philippe has always considered its watches to be works of art that reflect the refined aesthetics of mechanical perfection. The quest for immaculacy and harmony comes to the fore in understated, elegant, and timeless designs, as evidenced by the launch of some of the most iconic models of our era – including the Calatrava and the Golden Ellipse. A specialist in complicated timepieces, Patek Philippe combines innovative design with quality craftsmanship and manually executed finissage. And with the same passion, the company cultivates the techniques and crafts used to decorate timepieces, assuring that these skills are handed down from one generation to the next.

Adrian Lurshay, UK Managing Director of Patek Philippe, said: “Our relationship with Laings has been nurtured for almost 20 years, based on some of the same values we share such as independency and service. Expanding our presence in the UK at Laings Cardiff just reflects the success of our business partnership which has been built via commitment and trust.”

Stuart McDowell, Managing Director of Laings, says: “As a longstanding partner of Patek Philippe, it is an honour for Laings to be able to offer clientele in Wales the opportunity to explore the unrivalled craftsmanship of this iconic brand. This partnership will cater to the watch enthusiasts of Wales, who will no longer need to travel outside the country to access this esteemed brand. The showroom is right in the heart of the capital city and our expanded presence means we can give the brands we represent the stage to shine. We pride ourselves on the customer experience and exceptional service we offer, and we can’t wait to showcase the historic Genevan complications and evolutionary innovation that lie at the heart of the Swiss brand when we unveil our new showroom next month.”

The expansion of Laings Cardiff, which will see the showroom treble in size, is just the first in a series of ambitious plans to strengthen Laings’ presence across the UK. Set to reimagine the customer journey, the Welsh showroom will also see the introduction of dedicated diamond and jewellery areas, giving clients the opportunity to view the carefully curated collections in private, with a glass of champagne. The expansion will also provide enhanced opportunities for talent in the industry, from retail teams to watchmakers and goldsmiths, safeguarding these skills for the future.
