Fine jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers will open its fourth exclusive brand outlet to date in the West Bengal city of Kolkata. Bollywood celebrity Katrina Kaif will inaugurate the store which will retail Kalyan Jewellers’ in-house brands.
“We are pleased to announce our expansion in the lively VIP Road neighbourhood, a pivotal market with substantial growth potential for the Kalyan Jewellers brand,” said Kalyan Jewellers’ executive director Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “Our continuous efforts to increase accessibility for patrons are realised through this new showroom, which will benefit the people of Kolkata and the broader consumer base. This investment underscores our commitment to strengthen our market presence and propel our growth trajectory.”
Katrina Kaif is Kalyan Jewellers’ global brand ambassador and often wears the label’s jewels to press events. The brand aims to harness Kaif’s pan-generational popularity to draw footfall to its new opening.
The showroom will house a wide selection of gold and diamond jewellery for both occasion and everyday wear. Kalyan Jewellers’ sub-brands including temple jewellery line Nimah, uncut diamond jewellery line Anokhi, and newly launched coloured gemstone and diamond line Lila will each have a dedicated space in the outlet.
In August this year, Kalyan Jewellers passed the 200 global store milestone. The brand launched in 1993 and is headquartered in Thrissur in Kerala, according to its website.
