Hearts On Fire Promotes 3 to Vice President
Josh Gilbert is now Hearts On Fire’s vice president of sales.

Boston-based diamond brand Hearts On Fire has promoted a trio of company veterans to new roles as vice presidents of their respective divisions.

First, Krista Beermann (pictured, right) has been promoted to vice president of product. Beermann first joined the Hearts On Fire’s merchandising department in 2005, when the company was just 9 years old and new to selling diamond jewelry.

The company has also promoted Joshua Gilbert to be its new vice president of sales. Gilbert has worked for Hearts On Fire for 11 years. He first began as a territory manager and then moved up to regional sales director. Before joining Hearts On Fire, Gilbert worked for Grunberger Diamonds in New York City. In his new role, Gilbert will oversee all sales functions for the U.S. market.

In addition, Albee Schimanski has been promoted to vice president of trade strategy. He first joined the company’s sales team 10 years ago. In his new role, he will keep his current oversight of Hearts On Fire’s sales in the Caribbean and Canadian markets, but he will also lead trade strategy, communications, and programs. In addition, he and his team will be responsible for co-op advertising, sales incentives, shop-in-shops, trade message, and deployment of training resources.

Founded in 1996 by Glenn and Susan Rothman, Hearts On Fire is considered a pioneering diamond brand known for its slogan, “The world’s most perfectly cut diamond.” In 2014, the company was purchased by Chinese retailer and manufacturer Chow Tai Fook for $150 million. Last month, Hearts On Fire president Caryl Capeci was honored as a visionary by the Women’s Jewelry Association at its annual awards gala in New York City.
