Harry Winston's Premier Diamond Second Automatic 36mm in Rose gold and blue dial

The House of Harry Winston is presenting the Premier Diamond Second Automatic 36mm. Crafted with two-tone mother-of-pearl dials and diamonds, the jewellery timepiece features a hypnotic small-seconds counter that recreates the house’s iconic cluster design.

Harry Winston’s timepieces showcase signature design elements that began with the company’s founder, whose ability to transform “nature’s bounties into objects of everlasting beauty was legendary,” according to the company.

Much like Winston’s iconic fine jewellery designs, the timepieces in the Premier Collection bring a three-dimensional quality into the realm of watchmaking. The new Premier models, with radiant, two-tone mother-of-pearl dials, offer an extraordinary show of depth and volume.

Dynamic colour

The rose gold model with blue dial transports the wearer directly to the heart of Harry Winston’s story, where the colour blue has long enjoyed a starring role. Throughout the course of Winston’s career, he owned more than one-third of the world’s most famous diamonds, including the legendary 45.52-carat blue Hope Diamond, which he acquired in 1949.

Recalling the stone’s unique quality and rich hues, the magic and intensity of the dark blue mother-of-pearl dial changes according to the light conditions. In contrast to the deep royal blue background, a white mother-of-pearl crescent embraces the ex-centred hours and minutes counter.

The white gold model, with its milky white mother-of-pearl canvas, features a burgundy mother-of-pearl ribbon that hugs the hours and minutes counter. In both Premier models, the contrasting coloured crescents on the dial create an optical illusion, as the round diamond hour markers seemingly move upwards and outwards towards the viewer. An emerald-cut diamond marks the 12 o’clock hour and recalls the favourite cut of the “King of Diamonds.”
