Multiple UK jewelry retailer Goldsmiths has completed a six-figure renovation at its Middlesbrough store.
Following a £30,000 refit, Goldsmiths has now opened the doors to a transformed space complete with a new area dedicated to luxury Swiss watch brand Rolex.
The refurbishment follows a £1m investment in Birmingham and nods to the jeweler focusing on the luxury end of the market.
The Middlesbrough showroom, which stands at 106 sqm, boasts a selection of coveted labels including Gucci, Tissot, and Rado alongside the classic Rolex timepieces. Shoppers can also browse fine jewelry styles from Mappin & Webb as well as pieces from the retailer’s exclusive collaboration with bridal designer Jenny Packham.
Goldsmiths’ executive director, Craig Bolton, comments: “We are pleased to officially open our newly-refurbished Middlesbrough showroom and the expansion of
our premium offering here with the introduction of the branded Rolex area.
“As one of Teesside’s main shopping districts, we felt this was a great opportunity to augment our in-store experience and hope our valued customer base in the region enjoys coming to us even more.”
Goldsmiths, which is owned by Aurum Holdings (soon to be named The Watches of Switzerland Group), says that it chose to spend money upgrading its Linthorpe
Road premises in Middlesbrough because of its excellent location and proximity to a major shopping district.
Brian Shute, manager of the Middlesbrough store, adds: “We are all really excited for this next chapter for our showroom and to take the business forward with a
brand new look.”
