The GJEPC Regional Office in Surat inaugurated the 12th batch of the two-day Export Process Certificate Course on 12th – 13th January in the diamond hub. Tailored for the gems and jewellery industry, this course aims to comprehensively cover the 100% export cycle, offering insights into market research, export marketing, documentation, policy, and logistics.
Addressing the participants, Vijay Mangukiya, the GJEPC Regional Chairman of Gujarat, highlighted the export potential within the gems and jewellery sector. He emphasised that despite this potential, many members tend to sell their products to merchant exporters due to a lack of knowledge and awareness. Mangukiya also urged members to view the course as a as a launchpad to start exporting directly.
The export course was designed for 25 individuals, but the response exceeded expectations, with 28 members enrolling in the current batch, and more than 10 expressing interest in the upcoming sessions.
