GJEPC’s Gujarat Regional Office organised a seminar in Ahmedabad to apprise trade members about how to export small parcels, and explained the ways to avail benefits of the various initiatives that GJEPC undertakes. More than 200 members participated in the event held on 27th February.
The event was presided over by Shri Vijay Mangukiya, Regional Chairman Gujarat and was attended by dignitaries including Shri Jigar Soni, President, Jewellery Association Ahmedabad (JAA) and Shri Vivek Sharma, President, Shypmax.
Shri Mangukiya shed light on Ahmedabad’s latent potential for exporting diamond studded jewellery and spoke about GJEPC’s efforts to collaborate with the Customs department for streamlining exports from the city. Shri Jigar Soni thanked GJEPC for offering solutions to all the concerns raised by JAA from time to time.
Shri Nitin Khandelwal, Dy. Director, GJEPC shared his journey of working on the e-commerce policy and the challenges faced by GJEPC to get this finalised. Shri Vivek Sharma took the audience through the entire process of how to export small parcels directly from the factory to end consumers across the world. Rajat Wani, Asst. Director, GJEPC informed about the upcoming IIJS Tritiya in Bengaluru and the ongoing visitor registration for the same.
