The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council has made a contribution of Rs 11 lakh to the ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ corpus fund set up to aid the families of members of the central armed police forces who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.
A cheque for the amount was handed over to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rupani by Shri Dinesh Navadiya, Regional Chairman Gujarat and Shri Hitesh Shah, member of Regional Committee, Gujarat at a special function today.
Well-known Bollywood actor and supporter of the ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ initiative, Akshay Kumar, was also present on the occasion.
The funds will be distributed to martyrs’ families.
