Food is love, asserts Delicacies Jewelry, a website that sells pendants, bracelets, and chains inspired by culinary ingredients. From diamond pavé chili pepper to a diamond-encrusted lobster, each purchase is donated to a nonprofit organization that fights hunger. High-profile chefs like Padma Lakshmi are fans—she wears a chili pepper pendant. In collaboration with chef Andrew Zimmern (Travel Channel), Delicacies has formed Chef’s Table, its charitable arm featuring three well-known chefs to fight hunger. Delicacies‘ first Chef’s Table includes chefs Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster, Harlem), Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn, San Francisco), and Gavin Kaysen (Spoon and Stable Restaurant in Minneapolis, Minn., and Bellecour in Wayzata, Minn.). Next year, an all-female chef lineup includes April Bloomfield (Foodbank for New York City), Stephanie Izard (Share Our Strength), Alex Guarnaschelli (No Kid Hungry), and Gail Simmons (New York’s City Harvest). Delicacies Jewelry made its first donation to Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry, Zimmern’s charity of choice, in April. Foodie philanthropy. What could be better
