Coronavirus: Tiffany pledges $1m and Will Match Staff Donations Dollar for Dollar

Tiffany is donating $1m to fight coronavirus and pledging to match dollar for dollar any contributions by its 13,000 employees.

The New York-based jeweler’s philanthropic foundation is allocating $750,000 to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, and $250,000 to the NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund.

“During this global health crisis, we must all be responsive to the urgent needs of our global communities,” said Anisa Kamadoli Costa, Chairman & President, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation.

“We are proud to support organizations providing immediate relief for communities impacted by COVID-19, including our hometown of New York.”

Tiffany reported $201m profits for the last quarter. Its foundation has pledged to match employee donations to any qualified non-profit organization supporting COVID-19 relief, dollar for dollar.
