A Cartier bracelet featuring a flawless D-color 63.66-carat pear-shaped white diamond and rock crystal is to be auctioned at Sotheby’s Hong Kong with an estimate of $5.1m to $8.4m.
The Art Deco-inspired piece (pictured), part of the L’Odyssée de Cartier – Parcours d’un Style high jewelry collection, took almost 2,000 hours to create.
Also headlining at the Magnificent Jewels sale, on 20 April, is a Circle of Happiness jadeite bangle weighing 277.673 carats (estimate not disclosed).
Pieces by Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Graff, Harry Winston, Hermes, Sotheby’s Diamonds and Van Cleef & Arpels will also be offered for sale.
“The appetite for high-quality jewels has never been stronger in Asia, with discerning collectors looking for rare diamonds and gemstones, as well as unique and iconic designs,” said Wenhao Yu, deputy chairman, jewellery, Sotheby’s Asia.
