UK-based boutique jeweller Arabel Lebrusan has launched her a new collection of ethical engagement rings inspired by goddesses of Greek mythology.
The Hera collection has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the goddess within, and individual pieces are named after well-loved goddesses, including Hera, Demeter and Hestia.
The line offers a selection of ethical engagement rings in designs including bezel-set solitaire and trilogy arrangements of traceable Canadian diamonds, lab grown yellow diamonds and Malawi sapphires and rubies. The rings are crafted from ethical 18 carat gold or recycled platinum.
When it comes to coloured diamonds, buyers often find that quality yellow diamonds are so rare and reach such expensive prices in the market that having a synthetic alternative offers great potential for jewellery designers.
“I see a world where both natural and synthetic diamonds can coexist, with full disclosure of origin, and fulfilling different customer’s dreams,” shares Arabel Lebrusan.
Speaking of her Hera collection the designer adds: “An engagement is such a special time in two people’s lives, and the Hera collection of engagement rings is a reflection and celebration of women as goddesses. In designing these unique pieces, I found inspiration in the goddesses of Greek mythology, but also the goddess in each of us. Fine jewellery has the ability to make us feel empowered, and this is exactly what the Hera engagement rings are designed to do.”
The shoulders of each ring bear intricate scrolls, which have been hand-engraved by artisans in the heart of London’s famed jewellery district, Hatton Garden.
All pieces are crafted from Fairtrade and fair-minded ecological gold and platinum as well as traceable gemstones.
