ALROSA’s total diamond sales – of rough and polished – in June 2018, amounted to US$ 390 million.
Of this, rough diamond sales were valued at US$ 383.7 million; while polished diamond sales stood at US$ 6.6 million.
For the first six months of the year (H1 2018) ALROSA’s total diamond sales touched US$ 2.689 billion. While a total of US$ 2.639 billion worth of rough diamonds were sold in H1 2018, polished diamonds sales for the period reached US$ 49.9 million.
“Demand for the whole diamond assortment remains stable allowing the Company to obtain good sales results,” commented ALROSA Deputy CEO Yury Okoemov. “Sales in June were 35.5% higher against May this year, and 7% higher compared to June last year. Altogether, in the second quarter, there was almost no noticeable seasonal drop traditional for this period.”
