De Beers Cycle 4 Sales Reflect Strong Consumer Demand

De Beers Group’s sales for Cycle 4 2018 at US$ 550 million (provisional) were higher than both, the previous quarter’s actual sales of US$ 524 million and those of Cycle 4 2017, when (actual) sales amounted to US$ 522 million.

Bruce Cleaver, CEO, De Beers Group, commented: “In the fourth sales cycle of the year we saw robust demand for De Beers’ rough diamonds, reflecting continued strong demand for diamond jewellery, especially from American consumers as we head towards the important JCK Las Vegas trade show at the start of June.”

Total rough sales by the Group up to the current reported Cycle stands at US$ 2.3 billion.
