The Professional Jeweller Awards, set to make its triumphant post-pandemic return in December 2021, has added a new category sponsor.
The awards ceremony is set to take place 14 December 2021 and the full list of categories is available to view now.
Now, sustainable gemstone specialist Gentle Diamonds has joined the party as a category sponsor for the event.
What’s more, the brand has chosen to sponsor not one but two categories: Jewellery Designer of the Year and Young Jewellery Designer of the Year (under 30). It will also be offering a special prize to each of the winners.
We spoke with founder and CEO, Scott Thompson, to find out more.
On the prize for each winner, he explained: “Gentle Diamonds is excited to offer the winners of both categories the opportunity to design a limited edition piece for one of our collections and to be featured on our social assets.”
Turning to the awards ceremony more generally, Thompson said: “It’s been too long since any get-togethers,” joking, “I will be able to see if I have developed agoraphobia since being locked up.
“It’s a great opportunity to reach out to everyone again. It’s been too long since any gatherings.”
Discussing the reason Gentle Diamonds has partnered with the two designer categories, he explained: “We have a keen eye on upcoming British talent in this space and want to bring recognition to the best British creators.”
