Bonhams promotes former Christie’s stalwart Leslie Roskind

International auctioneer Bonhams has promoted Leslie Roskind to the role of head of jewelry, Hong Kong, from her previous position as senior jewellery specialist.

Roskind previously worked for rival auctioneer Christie’s for 17 years across its Geneva, Los Angeles and New York locations.

She was also director of acquisitions for jeweller Fred Leighton, and has studied at Boston University and the American College of Switzerland.

She is also a qualified Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), as well as a member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians and Gem X.

Roskind will begin her new role 12 October, leading Bonhams’ team of jewellery specialists in the region.

She will spearhead business getting and selling strategies, as well as work with the wider global jewellery team on all sales and projects.

Previously senior jewelry specialist for Bonhams, she brings more than 25 years of auction, retail and wholesale experience.

Roskind said: “I am excited to assume my new role in Bonhams Hong Kong. We have an established team in place. I look forward to working with them and using my experience to expand our business in the region.”
