A trade delegation from Surat met the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi on December 27 and made representations regarding various trade issues being faced by different sectors.
GJEPC Regional Chairman – Gujarat, Dinesh Navadiya represented the gems and jewellery industry and spoke about the issues being faced by the sector in detail.

Introduction of Presumptive Taxation in Special Notified Zone
Introduction of Technology Upgradation Scheme for Gems and Jewelry sector
Introduction of Risk Management System to encourage profile based monitoring system for clearance of import / export shipments.
