British-made silver brand, John Garland-Taylor jewellery, has appointed a sales manager to help grow the wholesale business.
This position has been given to Britni-May Edwards, who will be responsible for accounts across the UK.
Edwards joins the business from industry service supplier Connoisseurs and boasts wide-ranging industry experience, approaching 10 years in both trade and retail.
She comments on the new role: “Joining a team of such skilled silversmiths and being able to showcase their work makes me feel very lucky. There is a lot of work to do to bring new stockists on board, but I am enthused by the challenge –there are plenty of designs, the quality of the jewellery is truly exceptional and made to withstand every-day wear, all while being created here in the UK.”
Originally training as a smith, resorting armour for clients including the National Trust, John Garland -Taylor now creates silver and 9ct gold jewellery by hand in his workshop based in Warwickshire alongside his son, David, and their small team.
John Garland-Taylor currently has a retail outlet in Hatton, Warwick, but made the decision to delve into wholesale eight years ago, with approximately 100 stockists across the country buying into the designer-maker’s story and extensive jewellery range.
David Garland-Taylor, trade and retail manager, says: “I feel Britni has the skills to take us to the next level. She is passionate about what we do and has the ability to build great relationships with our stockists – new and old. We’re delighted to have her on board.”
