The organisers of the Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair have announced that this year, the event will be held from 27 to 30 October 2017 at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. This will be the 5th edition of the fair which is emerging as a useful trading platform for the country and its neighbouring markets.
Over the years, the fair has attracted buyers and buyer groups from countries such as Australia, Brunei, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam under its special buyer programme.
The organisers said that more than 100 internationally-acclaimed jewellery manufacturers and wholesalers exhibited at the show last year and over 40% of them have already confirmed their participation this year.
Among the other highlights of the event are a Fashion Show, the Singapore Jewellery Design Award to recognise young jewellery designers and a series of seminars presented by reputed gemological laboratories and jewellery design institutes.
The fair is is organised by UBM Exhibition Singapore Pte Ltd, member of UBM Asia and endorsed by the Singapore Jewellers Association and the Diamond Exchange of Singapore.
